Europe is not ready to impose sanctions against Russian Federation. Girgi Targamadze, leader of Parliamentary minority said this to GHN. "Despite of willingness of many MPs and political groups to put pressure over Russian Federation, nowadays the political tendency in the world is that no country will make any decisive step in this direction, " - Targamadze said.
He noted that despite of the fact that EU treats very strictly with countries that are not satisfying criteria, Russia remains a strategic partner, notwithstanding of it's not fulfillment of international resolutions. The EP often will make similar sanctions but will not factually react, "- MP said
He noted that in EU the CoE has tools for putting pressure that will end with expulsion from the organization. As well such mechanisms as deprivation of voting rights exist.
