The Georgian-USA relations were discussed by Georgian Foreign Minister and USA State Secretary during its face-to-face meeting. The talks last more than one hour.

During the meeting with Hilary Clinton and her deputy Philippe Gordon those questions were disused which are of common interests for USA and Washington.

The discussion touched question of joint participation in Peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan , relations with NATO and , the security in the region.

Hilary Clinton made a short comment before the meeting for journalists.

"I am very glad that I am meeting again with my colleague and friend in the State Department. We wish to have close relations with Georgia; we have many subjects to discuss, because these two countries have many common affairs and values. Mr. Minister I am very glad that you visited us, "- Hilary Clinton said.

"Thank you, for us it is a big honor to be strategic partner of USA, "- Foreign Minister said.
