Free Democrats said that in the legislation on "General Education"  amendments were made which are outrageous.
The movement of Irakli Alasania declares it is not admissible that Education Minister performs function of control over activity of "mandate service in schools". Factually this mean that Education Minister performs function of Interior Minister and will rule over the Public Order body. In other words in the Education Ministry small Interior Ministry will be established, "- Nino Goguadze, member of the political party said today during the briefing.

She noted, the mere fact that to the position of mandate commission member may be appointed person not having precondemnation , sui juris, citizen of Georgia from 20 years old, if he talks the state language and passed the joint courses of MIA and Education Ministry; denotes that the person checking the Education Ministry system is not necessarily to be well educated.
Free Demarcates as well criticized the amendments according to which the possibility of use of physical pressure using the "special tools" by these persons may be legalized.

The interesting point is that we never seen in the above mentioned law on "General Educaiton" the notion what mean the "special tools". In turn the "special tools" according to the legislation about Police is defined in Article 12. Here the following is stated: "during the performing of its duties the police officer has a right to use "special tools" such as : handcuffs or other tools for binding, nonlethal weapon (among them non lethal rockets) tear gas, acoustic tools, physiological sound-light devise, rubber batons , armored vehicles , war-dogs and horses, electricity shock devises, " - Goguadze noted.

She said that the Education Ministry cannot prepare the legislation independently but most dangerous is the situation that Education Minister himself is ready to use war-dogs against own pupils.
