Independent experts club conducted first ceremony of awarding laureates with Shalva Pitschkhadze prize, GHN reports.
Laureate of the prize is Gocha Mirtkhulava, Director General of news agency GHN for his article "Merkel and Clinton - Occupied Moldova or occupied Georgia". Soso Tsiskarishvili, chairman of the Club of Independent Experts said that the article is very up to date and interesting in long terms perspective.
"Gocha Mirtskhulava is not only a good manager, but as well interesting author. He always makes accent to the most interesting subjects that are very important for the country in its historical perspective. It is interesting indeed which of the countries will be first in getting freedom - Moldova or Georgia, "- Tsiskarishvili said.
In turn Gocha Mirtskhulava thanked experts for the honor to become a first laureate of the prize named after Shalva Pichkhadze. "Mr. Shalva was a prominent citizen, public figure and thinker. For me it is a big honor to become one of the first laureates of this prize. I would like to thank Vlad Filat, PM of Moldova who was a model personality for me for his huge love to homeland and what is most important with his attitude to mass media. I believe that the reoccupation of Georgia and Moldova inevitable process, "- Mirtskhulava said.
For information, yesterday the Independent Experts club awarded laureates with the prize named after Shalva Pichkhadze. Among 9 authors 3 won the prize.
