Mikheil Machavariani , first deputy Parliamentary Chairman said Britain has strict and irreconcilable position towards the fact of occupation by Russian Federation of territories in Georgia. He noted this after his meeting with Interparliamentary Union Group of the UK Parliament.
"We discussed those changes that are implemented in Georgia, the Constitutional amendments, economic questions, Elections Code and as well many important challenges that our country faces. We discussed the restoration of territorial integrity, "- Machavzriani said.
"Britain has a strict and irreconcilable position for occupation question. This was shown clearly during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to UK. The UK parliamentarians will hold meetings with Georgian parliamentary majority and minority and we will have an opportunity to send our message and pain not only to UK Parliament but as well to all international community, " - Machavariani said
