The version about suicide that was a cause of the death first President of Georgia is annulled. The Parliamentary Commission for investigation of the death of Zviad Gamsakhurdia obtained the case materials and made public the conclusion about annulment of the version of his suicide. The Georgian Procurator's Office General had had presented this version as the only version in the case in 1994-2004 yy.
"According to the Forensic Medical Examination the skull is deformed so severely that it was impossible to restore it. The likelihood is very high that this was caused by some outer impact, "- the conclusion reads. At the same time the area of the bullet hole is safer.
"The damage is on the back of the skull, were according to the Forensic conclusion no bullet hole is. As well the bad head is damaged were died was found list time. The examination of these things was not conducted and the damage is of unknown nature. The reasonable doubt rises, taking into consideration the evidences of several witnesses that the damage on the bad head is caused by the bulled after gunshot , as the position of the corps was at that moment in other direction. As well it is impossible at the time of suicide to make the gunshot from above to the underneath.
The conclusion consists of 363 pages and includes the evidences of witnesses and forensic conclusions.
