Georgian President Mikheil Sakashvili said in connection with Sochi Olympics that the Russian Federation got problems when committing ethnic cleansing of Georgians and legalized such actions.
"Russia has big political problems with the Sochi Olympics, as nearby the territory of proposed Games it committed the legalization of ethnic cleansing of Georgians. The town Gagra was cleansed from Georgians for the 100% and in fact now 90% of the real estate owners are Russians. Among the owners of the property there are representatives of Russian government, "- Saakashvili said in his interview with First Caucasian.
He said the problem of Russia is that in a few kilometers of the proposed Games the territory is from which more than 400 000 people were expelled. The place where the human rights violations are so frequent.
For information, Russian President Dimitry Medvediev demanded to extinguish any hindering factors for the Olympic Games in Sochi. He stressed attention of Security Council.
"All you know well that some problems exist which are connected with our neighbor Georgia. So, everything should be done over the Foreign Ministry, Law enforcement bodies and power structures. The force that is hindering to the conduction of the Olympic Games should be revealed, "- Medvediev said.
