"President Obma said that the USA democracy is a work in progress as well. The democracy is a process which should be constantly refined. The aspiration of Georgia to the democracy is a value to which our relations are based. This is a strengthening factor of our relations, "- James Stainberg, deputy State Secretary said in discussion with Georgian media.
He underlined that the USA values those partners who are respecting the fundamental human rights values. One of the most important factor for the stable relations with Georgia is a respect for the Human Rights values, he underlined.
"We are greatly prizing the Constitutional reforms in the country. We know that much work has to be done in respect of elations code reforming. We are discussing the ways that are for the activating of the civil society and media environment. The progress is evident, nevertheless some areas are to be developed, "- Stainberg said.
Stainberg said among the most important questions are the minority issues and the employment rights.
For information, this is third visit of James s Stainberg in his capacity of Deputy State Secretary. He arrived to Georgia after Armenia and Azerbaijan.
