Maxim Ghvingia, de-facto Foreign Minister of Abkhazia visits Latin America. He met with the heads of Venezuela in the frames of this visit. Ghvingia said to the "Eurasianet" that relations with Latin America has a key decisive point in the establishment of diplomatic and commercial relations with post soviet republics. "The Latin America has a big potential for Abkhazian Republic, in view of establishment as many as possible diplomatic relations for recognition of independence. We are not afraid the controversial reputation of Hugo Chavez may damage Abkhazia.
Abkhazia has favorable customs duties with Russian Federation. This makes attractive Abkhazia in terms of trade relations with other countries. Reexport is a keystone for our economy and we need to develop it. The Latin America can use Abkhazia as a trade partner for relations with South Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, "- Ghvingia said.
