At the Northern Caucasus the danger of full scale war exists. The wakhabists, "Black hawks" and others are to take part to annihilate militants and its families, GHN reports. The neared elections coincided again with these disorders in Northern Caucasus as it was the case in 1999, the Russian Independent Newspaper said.

Last Friday militants assaulted Nalchick. This was a biggest attack for the last years. The last similar attack was made in 2005. They killed 95 militants. This time the law enforcement bodies inform that the number of assaulters was far lesser. The attack was very carefully prepared. Several band formations attacked several power objects at the same time - Federal Security Service building was fired from mortar. Other small group of band formation exploded the rest house being on the territory of the law enforcement body. The third group targeted Rosneft (Russian Oil Company) building.

Russian media informs that despite of fact the assaults were well staged beforehand, but from the military point of view they did not reach any aim. Building was not damaged and no victims occurred. The military armored cars are alongside the contra terroristic operation zone in Nalchik. All vehicles are checked. The security measures are taken. The curfew is imposed.

Spring usual time for the terrorist attack in this region, newspaper reds. The Internal Forces now have to control the Dagestan, Chechnya and Circassia fronts, were militants are openly declaring about its existence. Moreover the events developed  last time said to be becouse of old tradition of vendetta in this region. Supposedly the blood feud will not stop for a long period of time.

"This period the Northern Caucasus will not be attractive for tourists, "- the newspaper reads. They believe that in the region the large scale war is ripping. The civil war is inevitable in Cabrdo Balkaria.
