Turkish Prime Minister Rajep Taip Erdogan warned Turks living in Germany from assimilation in that country. The declaration was made in his meeting in Dusseldorf with representatives of 10 000 Diaspora. Turkish leader said that "German" Turks should not forget about its origins. As well he advised him to teach children first the mother tongue - Turkish and afterwards German. He mentioned as well the animosity against Turks and other Muslims in the German society. He noted that in Germany and other EU countries the phobia is noticeable in connection with Islamic origin people. Xenophobia is not rare event here.
Officially the double citizenship is prohibited in Turkey, those who will refuse the Turkish citizenship in favor of German one will be given "grey cards" which will be similar to Turkish passports. If they will decide to return to homeland they will be privileged by law . He called citizens to return to the country immediately.
