The arrival of Georgian Patriarch to Abkhazia may become the first positive step to the unification of the country. Nugzar Tsiklauri, chairman of Parliamentary Committee for Diaspora and Caucasian questions said about the possible arrival of Ilia Second to Abkhazia.

"The relations between countries are minimal. But as well there exists as well  relations between Churches,  such relations must be continued in the future. These relations will provide with resolution of strained situation between countries, "- Tsiklauri said.

He said it is difficult to predict what influence will make the Russian Patriarchy to the Russian government; however the relations between churches must be developed.
"The arrival of Patriarch to Abkhazia denotes that Abkhazia is a territory of Georgian state. His Holiness's title bears this name - Patriarch of All Georgia and Tskhum-Abkhazia. Very likely this may became the first positive step for the restoration of integrity of our country, "- Tsiklauri said to GHN.
