Court hearing of two Georgian women detained in Malaysia for the drugs abuse probably will be held today, GHN reports.
After the two month investigation the hearing on the case of two Georgian women is now under the review of the Supreme Court of Malaysia in Kota Kinabalu.
According to Malaysian media, the Procurator's Office ordered to transfer the case of Babuts Ghongadze, 26 to the Supreme Court. According to the chemical conclusion the weight of the narcotic substances was 1710 gram instead of indicated earlier 5.5 kg.
According to local legislation passed in 1952 Ghongadze is accused under article 39 B which stipulates death sentence.
Mass media informs that simultaneously the court heard already cases of 3 women accused in the same crime for the transportation of small amount of narcotic substances and sentenced them to fine 5 000 USD and 2 years of imprisonment.
