The international economic forum published a report "Travel and tourism - competitiveness 2011".
Among researched 134 countries Georgia is on 73 place it is far forward of all Caucasian countries. Azeri took 83 place Armenia 90 place. To be noted Turkey in this list has 50 place.
Among leaders are Sweden, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, USA, UK, Spain, Canada and Singapore. All indexes in the list are compiled with a range of conditions comparation, among them are legislation compatibility, environment, healthcare, hygiene norms, priorities for travel and tourism, aviation infrastructure, travel fares, cultural heritages.
The report reads that after the global economic crisis the tourism started to restore, this year the 5-6% growth is fixed.
