Rose Revolution which happens in Georgia in 2003 on November 23 did not yield any serious and positive results. Such estimation was given to the 6-year totals of the Rose Revolution by Levan Berdzenishvili, representative of the Republican Party, the GHN reports.
"The Rose Revolution did not justify hopes and none of the promises of authorities were fulfilled. Now they are bravading that they are annihilated corruption. But I do not remember if they were promising to fight against corruption. The revolution happens to change the direction and for the integration to EU, and in the first term of the presidency of Saakashvili we should joined NATO, and to became a member of EU. As well the territorial integrity of the country should be restored, and we should enjoy now a sweet life. None of the promises were accomplished, because Saakashvili traited the principles of the Rose Revolution in two months, " - Berdzenishvili said in conversation with GHN.
He said that Saakashvili is a betrayer of the principles of the revolution and this lays in Saakashvili's usurping the power, breach of Constitution and and in the fact that he left in the Parliament those MPs who were elected through the unfair elections.
"If we will sum up - we can say that the people were offended, and as a result the people were severely savaged. The apogee of the activity of Saakashvili was a war with Russian Federation and defeat, "- politician said.
We remind you that today on November 23 Georgia marks 6 years anniversary of Rose Revolution, as a result of which the allys of Saakashvili and the National Movement invaded the Parliament and forced Eduard Shevardnadze to resign.
