Dmitri Medvediev, President of Russian Federation said that he never asked and is not asking any state to recoglinse S.O. and Abkhazia.
"This is not my business. This is a business of other states. Not in the public frames not in private meetings I never asked not Belorus leaders, nor other Belorusian high ranks to recognize Abkhazia and S.O. I never addressed to them not directly or indirectly, "- Medvediev declared this in his meeting with Belorusian journalists in Kremlin.
Medvediev as well said that Alexander Lukashenko more then once declared that "Belorus inevitabely will review this question and possibly the Belorus will recognize these new republics."
At the same time Russian President said that all accusation that Russia asked to recognize Sokhumi and Tskhinvali are provocative and having no connection with the real situation.
Moreover, Medvediev as well noted that for Moscow itself was not easy question to recognize independence of these republics, it was a hard choice.
"This was done as a consequence of the Georgian aggression against these two territories. It was done for the purpose of defense of the citizens, which were living there, among them Russians, and to prevent in the future such conflicts, "- Medvediev said.
Russian President was not shy even to say that for Russia it would be better if these republics were recognized by more other states.
"In such case these new states would develop more easily. But we never are interfering and not trying to rule the processes. This is contrary to the internationsl principles, " - Russian leader said.
