Nino Kalandzdze, Georgian Foreign Minster Deputy said only a theoretical chance exist for Russia's WTO membership without consent of Official Tbilisi.
"No doubt the WTO membership is based on consensus. however, as far I know the Charter of the organization stipulates the possibility for avoidance of consensus with one country, " - Nino Kalandadze sand and noted hat no precedent for such case ever happen. This may be a case if the member s of organization will take such decision jointly.
"I will be very astonished if the WTO will allow such precedent. This would became a very rare and unusual exception, " - She said. At the same time she believes that the Russia' membership to WTO is no less important for Georgia as well and question will not be politicized. Georgia has very constructive approach to the question.
The first round of negotiations will open on March 10.
