Banks are giving favorable loans only to business circles close to government, - Demur Giorkhelidze, expert said at the meeting with Christian-Democrats. The percentage difference imposed by foreign banks and Georgian banks are considerably different.
"Other countries are giving for business 2.5%-3.5% loans, in Georgia this amounts to 22%, " - he said. No matter whatsoever interesting and good your business plan is, banks are issuing loans only selectively, they got a clear directive to issue loans only for the privileged business groups. At the same time expert underlined that the share of the government in the GDP is only 40%, this can lead to the catastrophe in the country.
"The solution is decrease of administrative expenses and diminishing of value added tax. The value added tax is possible to decrease up to 18-13%.
