The full version of Eldar Davitiani will be sent as well today to the Court and the verdict of the Georgian Court as well. This fact was preceded by the meeting of Georgian and Malaysian procurators. Despite the fact that no diplomatic relations and no other obligations exists between Georgian side and Malaysian one, the Georgian chief Procurator Davit Sakvarelidze said he was given the guaranties that the Malaysian party will take into consideration all circumstances in the case.
"Women are alleged in drug abuse. Nevertheless the investigation was carried out and the public knows that as a result of investigation the women did not admit the crime. They declared that did not know about the existence of narcotic substances in its luggage. Based on this fact Prime Minster decided to apply with the letter to Malaysian colleague, "- Niko Mchedlishvili, Press spokesman of PM said.
For information, the Georgian citizens Babutsa Gordadze and Darejan Kokhtashvili were detained in Malaysia last year in October, with allegation in drug abuse. This is punishable crime with a death sentence. The accused persons say they were victims of Eldar Davitiani's actions who is a husband of Gordadze. In this case the Georgian party admitted as a guilty Eldar Davitiani he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment. The Court all this time was waiting for the chemical expertise report for the determination of sentence.
