In the capital of Lithuania, in Vilnius the sittings of the Baltic States Assembly and sittings of the Council of Ministers was hold.
In these meetings the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly take part as well; it was chaired by Davit Bakradze, chairman of Georgian Parliament. The Lithuanian same opened with the photo exhibition showing the august war disaster. Spokesmen of Lithuanian and Georgian parliaments addressed to the audience with a speech at the photo exhibition.
The 28-th assembly of the Baltic States was opened with the participation of Georgian Parliamentary delegation. At the assembly Davit Bakradze took the floor as a representative of Georgia and GUAM chairman country. It was underlined that the importance of cooperation of Baltic States assembly and GUAM is on the agenda. Bakradze said that GUAM had a hard political way ahead and for its development it is very important to have an agreement with the Baltic Assembly.
In the frames of the Baltic States 28-th assembly two documents were signed: the joint statement of GUAM and Baltic States Assembly and the statement of the Baltic States Parliamentary Assembly delegation about the existing situation in Georgia.
The Baltic Assembly once more upheld the territorial integrity of Georgia.
