The parliamentary majority is in doubt that the pardoning of Israeli businessmen may ever happen. Pavel Kublashvili, MP from majority said to journalists.
"Most likely this will not happen. I think the very important factor was that these people were intended to damage the Georgian state, " - he remarked.
They were acting by very simple deception scheme, according to which the Georgian state was in obligation before them, at the same time no obligations were on its part, nothing was performed from the other side. Nothing can be said about its future fate, wither will be they released before the expiration of terms of imprisonment or pardoned, "- Kublashvili said.
It is known already that Israeli President intends to ask for pardoning of Israeli businessmen.
For information, Tbilisi City Court sentenced two Israeli citizens for bribery attempt of Georgian high rank. The Israeli businessmen were detained last year on October 14 in allegation of attempt for bribery of high rank. The third businessman is wanted.
Court sentenced them for 7 years of imprisonment (Fux) and 6 years of imprisonment (Frenkel). The news agency GHN was informed from the City Court that both are fined for 500 thousand GEL and 100 thousand Gel respectively. They are sentenced under the Georgian Criminal Code GCC article 339 part 3, - bribery
