On April 20 at 14:00 in the National Parliamentary Library the USA envoy John Baas will summarize the governmental implemented programs for democracy and fair rule. For financing these programs the USA government allocated for Georgia 90 mn USD.
The news agency GHN was informed from USA embassy that USAID and the civil department of the Embassy are implementing these programs. The USA embassy underlines a willingness of United States to work together with Georgian government and to finance programs promoting the democracy and Independent Justice, Rule of Law and fair governance. USA will promote the civil education in schools, development of media and civil society.
From 2007 to 2015 USA plans to spend more than 200 mn USD for showing that USA and Georgia are closely cooperating for strengthening of democracy and implementation of reforms. On April 27 a meeting of democracy group will be conducted in the frames of USA-Georgia Strategic Charter
