Members of families of Israeli businessmen Zev Fenkel and Rohni Fux applied to Georgian President for pardoning, Kbilashvili, defense lawyer said to GHN having to hope for positive outcome.
Archil Kbilashvili, defense Lawyer said to GHN that the written document for pardoning was passed to President yesterday evening.
"Now everything depends on president will he use his power to pardon or not. If yes he can do this tomorrow or never do it. I am pessimistically inclined, I do not think this attempt will make any success; nevertheless we followed the kind demand of members of families and passed this letter. This step exhausted all possibilities for its release."
For information, on April 1 the Tbilisi City Court sentenced Israeli businessmen for imprisonment and fine.
