Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened in Georgia the air radar. The radar will allow the better control over airspace, as well better functioning of Poti airport.
"Our future vision is for the modernization of Georgia. We wish to double the incomes for population to the 2015. As well this denotes we expect more than 5 mn tourists in Georgia. Our sea ports will be exploited in full. The Poti port will became a main route for export from China and Central Asia to most part of European countries. Poti will become a city with 100% employed people. Here the main problem will be not an employment deficit , but a deficit of cadres, "- Saakashvili said.
At the same time for 2012 the Poti International Airport will start functioning. It will be able to operate in any weather conditions. Mestia, Anaklia and Batumi, main resorts for tourists will be covered by this air radar. President promised that to 2013 all this project will be accomplished.
"We are unique, because we have great past and great perspectives for the future, "- Saakashvili said. The civil radar was installed in Poti airport by French company Thales.
