The Freedom House considers that only one quarter of countries has a truly free media. According to the published report the situation with the freedom of media in the country improved partially.
All over the country the freedom of media is not yet on the appropriate level. To compare with the last year the situation improved in Georgia, Moldova and Kirgizstan. the rating of Ukraine decreased and the freedom of media in Russia and Azerbaijan is too low.
The report underlines that governments are imposing control as well under the internet media.
