20 defense lawyers went on hunger strike today on May 17 at 15:00 at the Parliament building. Lawyers and Defense lawyers participating in this protest action demand investigation of Zurab Jzvania's murder case and Badri Patarkatsishvili's murder case.

Sjalva Khachapuridze, defense lawyer said in conversation with GHN lawyers have a range of demands:
"We demand: 1.Independent Court; 2. investigation of murder cases - Zurab Jzvania, Guram Sharadze, Badri Patarkatsishvili and other persons; 3. reinvestigation of young people killed at streets; 4. Revision of cases illegally detained persons (establishing a special committee for this purpose; 5. unconditional release of political prisoners; 6. cease of torture and cruel treatment with prisoners; 7. release of defense lawyers who were illegitimately arrested; 8. restoration of the facilities for veterans," - he said.

Lawyer underlined at the same time that Georgia is totally out of the international legal area. "We wish our legislation to be in accordance with the EU legislation. Now Georgia is out of the legislative area and out of any judicial thinking. This may lead to the destruction of the country and this process started already. "
