The Tbilisi City Court today will rule out into case of two Turkish citizens arrested on May 16. They will be sentenced to 2-month preliminary detention.
Officers of the Constitutional Security Department (CSD) of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) arrested two Turkish citizens at Sarpi checkpoint (Georgian-Turkish state border) on May 16 in suspicion of kidnapping of a person and extortion of money.
Muhammed Onder and Mustafa Ogun took Emzar Vashakmadze, a Georgian citizen living in Ardasheni town as a hostage and demanded USD 30 thousand from his family as a ransom.
The two threatened the family to kill the hostage in case of non-payment. The MIA also released an operative video material into this case.
