Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Ortwin Hennig handed over German language diplomas to 83 students of PASCH schools in Georgia. The event was organized within the frame of the German Days in Georgia.
PASCH - "Schools: Partners for the Future" was founded by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Its aim is to establish a network of at least 1,000 partner schools spanning the globe and in so doing encourage young people to take an interest in and have an enthusiasm for modern Germany and its society. German teachers work in every school of PASCH.
Ten schools of Georgia are participants of PASCH program and they are coordinated by the Goethe Institute. 5 schools of Georgia (4 schools of Tbilisi and 1 school of Telavi) confer German language proficiency second level diplomas (DSD2). DSD2 is deemed to prove that the student has the level of ability in German that is required to be able to study at a university in the Federal Republic of Germany.
