On June 4, four members of the U.S. House of Representatives will visit Tbilisi.
The news agency GHN was informed from USA embassy the visit includes meetings with President Saakashvili, Speaker of Parliament David Bakradze, other government officials, and civil society.
The delegation will hold a series of meetings in Parliament, including a meeting with representatives from the parliamentary minority.
The visiting delegation includes the following U.S. Representatives: David Dreier (Republican-California), David Price (Democrat-North Carolina), Susan Davies (Democracy-California) and Brad Miller (Democrat-North Carolina). Representative Dreier, who leads the delegation, is Chairman of the House Democracy Partnership and Representative Price is the ranking member. The House Democracy Partnership is a bi-partisan commission that works directly with 14 partner countries around the world, including Georgia, to support the development of effective, independent, and responsive legislative institutions.
