Eka Beselia, leader of the movement solidarity for illegal prisoners made a statement against detention of Lasha Chkhartishvili, Irina Batiashvili and Maya Batiashvili.

"Unfortunately the Tbilisi City Court delivered a next one politically biased decision and all three persons were fined and punished administratively... For the last several years there was not any happening when the court would deliver decision not guilty in respect of persons detained by Police. Encouraged with such situation the Police uses a force against peaceful citizens, " - Eka Beselia said. She underlined she is against the unlawfulness and the regime of the Police state.

"The regime of Saakashvili continues the political persecution of citizens and is especially violent against intelligent people. I am addressing to the international organizations to study this facts and to react over the international machinery."
