Georgian parliament will officially defect from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on January 22-the chairperson of the CIS parliamentary assembly, Russian MP Sergei Mironov has announced.
According to Mironov, Georgian parliament submitted the statement about leaving the organization on July 22. The regulations of the organization stipulate that the membership to the organization will be suspended after 6y months since official statement about defection.
