The Russian Foreign Ministry's declaration which made public a few days ago does not mean the call for abstaining to travel to Russian Federation, Nino Kalandadze, Deputy Foreign minister said.
"It was not an official statement and does not mean an advise to abstain from traveling to Russian Federation, "- she said. She said the Ministry only warns Georgian citizens to be cautions.
"It is a well known fact that the xenophobic policy is ruled from the above in Russia. We as an official body are obliged to warn our citizens to be cautious. No doubt we cannot force anybody to take a special measures for safety byt we are obliged to make public the above mentioned information to our citizens, " - Kaladadze said.
For information, the Foreign Ministry a few days ago disseminated information warning Georgian citizens from traveling to Russian Federation in the context of the murder of Georgian citizen in Moscow on the ethnicity ground.
