The Christian-Democrats said after the initiation of the Bill on "Public Gatherings and Manifestations" the Constitutional Court ceased its existence. Nika Laliashvili, member of the Christian-Democrats said today during the Parliamentary briefing.
He said they will send the Bill to dip. corp in Georgia and representatives of international organizations and as well to the Venice Commission for its evaluation.
"The amendments factually making impossible to hold manifestations. This is factually the legitimating of the May 26 events. But the most alarming is that the Constitutional Court disregards these amendments. They are, by our opinion, a historic one. I am sure the Parliamentary majority will meet these amendments applauding. In Georgia no democracy will exit anymore, "- Laliashvili said. He underlined that the ruling party makes secure its existence making such step and disregards the international community's opinion.
