The consultations started in Washington on the Russia's membership to the WTO. The next round of negotiations is headed by Maxim Medvedkov, from Russian Federation. He said "no important decisions will be made this time at the negotiations." After the negotiations in USA the process will be continued in Geneva and then in Moscow.
As it is known the negotiations for the Russia's affiliation to the WTO are pending 17 years.
To the question when this process will be accomplished Medvedkov said this is the question beyond of his scope of responsibility. He left without response questions about Russia's Economic Minster's declaration about possible prolongation of the affiliation question to the indefinite period of time if important problems will not be resolved till the end of July. He as well left without response the possibility for Russian Federation to enter WTO without Georgia's consent
