The Foreign Ministry of Georgian Republic is surprised by the declaration of Envoy of France to Georgia Erik Furnie in connection with the declaration about Georgian-Russian war.
"It is difficult to make any comment, till envoy will not give explanations privately. It is surprising that such declarations were made by the county which was a mediator during the Russian-Georgian war and has a leading role in drafting the cease-fire agreement, "- they said in Foreign Ministry.
For information, the envoy of France to Georgia sharply criticized Georgian government, noting that they are looking the reasons for the war in other countries but not in the real initiator country." He noted that routs for the conflict are to be found in 1921, when the Menshevik authorities of Georgian Republic annihilated the Ossetia population. He noted the nationalistic approach always was a reason for wars in Europe as well. The responsibility for this war lies upon both sides in this case.
