Constantine Dolgov, head in human rights questions of MFA of Russian Federation said the joint Russian-Abkhazian Commission for the restoration of property rights decided to return the property in Abkhazia to several Russian citizens, GHN reports.
"We are in a close contact with Abkhazian heads and are looking for the decision of this problem. In October of 2010 the machinery for treatment with Russian citizens was developed to deal with this problem. The Commission already decided 187 cases. The circle of a persons is determined who will be defended. 43 applications are already decided by this Commission," - he said.
He noted that several Russian applicants were illegally deprived of the property and they got it back. "We are not differentiating Russian citizens on national ground and we will defend its rights irrespectively of its national ethnicity, "- Dologov said, Russian newspaper reads.
At the beginning of the 2010 the RF Foreign Ministry informed about complaints of a number of Russians who were deprived the property in Abkhazia. Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russian Federation said Russia will provide the defense of Russian citizens' rights.
