Paata Zaqartishvili, expert in conflict regulation said the initiative of Mamuka Areshidze, expert in Caucasus question about the recognition of independence of Abkhazian state is nonsense; in such case the Abkhazian state will totally be passed under the Russian Federation's obedience.

"The only reason for the talks about recognition of independence of Abkhazian statehood is to understand its impossibility and nonsense. The tragedy of our society is that we have closed themes, prohibited subjects. If we will talk about these subjects among them about this one we will understand that this is a nonsense and such initiatives have not perspective, "- Zaqareishvili said.

He disagrees with colleague in that respect that the recognition of independence is the only resource for starting a positive dynamics in Georgian-Abkhazian relations.

"This time a very hard situation is in this respect but we can provide many measures for improvement. For instance we can recognize Abkhazian passports as passports for interstate usage in Georgia. We can give a possibility to Abkhazians to get an education and healthcare on the non-occupied Georgian territory. We can allow them to our territory with its own cars. At the same time this does not mean the recognition of independence of Abkhazian state. We can do anything except of the changing of a Constitution where it is clearly written that Abkhazia is an inalienable part of Georgia. We can talk about this but not to do, - many thing have to be done before."

Mamuka Areshidze is not well aware about the real situation in Abkhazia. As he said one precondition for recognition of Abkhazian state must be a return of Georgian refugees to its own homes in Abkhazia. This is the most painful question for Abkhazians. So they even in the most terrible nightmare cannot imagine the recognition of its state from Georgia and in turn pay for this with return of refugees. The question of refugees even impossible to discuss with them, "- expert said.

The recognition of Abkhazian state first of all will damage not Georgia but Abkhazia itself. We will pass Abkhazia totally to Russia and get free from them saying that we are not able to take care after own people. If we will recognize Abkhazia all world will recognize it, but Abkhazia will be attached to Russia.
