The recognition of Abkhazia is an idea of very big danger. As this idea is suggested by Georgian this makes it twice as dangerous, "- Irina Sarishvili said in conversation with GHN. She commented the case with an initiatives suggested by Mamuka Areshidzze in connection with recognition of Abkhazian state independence.
"I believe none on the territory of Georgia be it Georgian or not will ever uphold this idea. If will Georgia surrender this territory this will not be upheld by anyone regardless of its originality. If this will happen there would be no sense to discuss about freeing of this territory from Russian army or any other, "- Sarishvili said.
"I think this declaration is not a random. In August the provocation was committed to loose that war. Because for the Georgian government it would be difficult to pass directly both territories as it was a case in our past with Ordjonikidze's case. Seems like now we are on the next stage - we loosed a war. Some countries did recognized independence of Abkhazia; I am not talking about Russia. Now such radical declaration is to be made by Georgia, "- Sarishvili said.
She noted this theme will remain some time as a "disputable" one in the governemtn. She said for her it is not clear why Areshidze made such declaration. Maybe this is a probe for the opinion of Georgian society, she noted.
