The fate of two Georgians detained today in port Augusta, Italy will be decided today. The court hearing started at 10:00. One Georgian Archil Evgenidze released, he will return to Georgia. Two others are detained.
It is five month already the Turkish ship with 8-member crew stays in Augusta port. Among 8 members of crew 3 were Georgians. All this time the sailors were not paid its salary. Owner of a ship refuses its cargo as well. 1500 ton of ammonium which is used for the explosive substances was aimed to arrive to Casablanca. But the ship does not left yet Italy. Sailors are provided with food from international organization.
The Turkish ship sailing under the Panama flag is detained in Italy for indebtedness. Owner of ship has to pay for several European ports in addition the wages for sailors are to be covered. The international Organization of Sailors imposed strong sanctions against transporting company for this indebtedness. No food and water remained at the board of a ship and the employer took off all responsibilities before sailors. The chemical substance at the board of a ship is speedily evaporating especially with the increase of a temperature. The ship was loaded in Egypt. Sailors are not aware about personality of ship owner.
