Kirill Patriarch of All Russia met with Eduard Kokoity, leader of Ossetia secessionists. He promised support from Russian Orthodox Church. "The Russian Orthodox Church sends a humanitarian aid to S.O. We are doing this understanding that the people of South Ossetia undergo hard times, "- Patriarch Kirill said.
He expressed his sorrow over the death of innocent people killed during this conflict. The Russian Church he said is willing to contribute to the restoration of South Ossetia and to make this as soon as possible. Russian Church will try to do this in terms of practical support and as well in spiritual upholding, to help Ossetia people forget a pain those grave days.

Secessionists leader thanked Patriarch and noted that Russian Church was first who came to aid of Ossetia people in hardship.
