The Organization "International Transparency - Georgia" published a report on investigation of political parties financing, GHN reports. According to the investigation presented in the hotel "Court Yard Marriott" it is necessary to improve the legislation for financing of the political parties.

"The research made it clear that the annual analysis of the political parties in Georgia is a very complicated business. The reason for this is an absence is a common accountability. Some political parties are dividing the expenses for 4-5 categories but others have more detailed description of expenditure. Some parties indicated that main part of the expenses in the cell: "other expenses", when such are reaching 70 % out of all others, " - the investigative report reads.

At the same time according to the organization in the country there is not a body which will perform control over appropriate to legislation financing of the political parties; and the legislative norms for the punishment of mistaken or inconsistent representation of the accountability forms.

To the point during the elections it is almost impossible to track down the source of financing of political parties and as well to perform a comprehensive control over the funds of political parties.
