The Civil Development Institute accuses Dmitri Shashkin, education and Science Minsiter in negligence to the civil dialogue. Ia Antadze, head of the Civil Development Institute said during her presentation about the secure School model.
"During the project it was yet impossible to establish civil dialogue with you, this makes even more problematic to establish a cooperative relations between the public and the decision making persons. At the same time we did not get a reply to our letter, in which we asked for permission for cooperation with schools, " - Antadze said.
During the presentation the institution of a mandate commission in the Georgian legislation was discussed. Giorgi Mshvenieradze, author of the presentation said that after the introducing of mandate commission institution the level of security and safety in schools increased.
The authors of the presentation said the aim of the project is to involve a public to the monitoring and evaluation of secure schools program and to activate the dialogue between public and Education Ministry.
The presentation has two parts - the law on general education - from decentralization to centralization and the mandate commission institution in the Georgian education.
The Civil development Institute began the monitoring of a program of secure schools in 2011. This program is supported by Eurasian Cooperation Fund and the Swedish International Development Agency.
