Giorgi Targamadze, leader of Christian-Democrats visits USA. He met with USA Senator John McCain. The parties discussed the security questions, economic development t of Georgia and elections environment improvement.
"Senator strongly expressed the support for our country's territorial integrity. We discussed the challenges which are nowadays before our country and ways for overcoming dangers and the importance of USA support for Georgia in these difficult questions. In this context Senator underlined the importance of Georgian economic and democratic development. This denotes the necessity for holding them in pluralistic environment, "- Targamadze said.
Alongside with individual meetings Targamadze and Giorgi Rukhadze, International Secretary of Christian-Democrats take part in the gathering of IDU (International democratic Union).
The visit of oppositional party leader to USA will be accomplished on June 30. After which Targamadze will depart under the invitation of German ruling party - Christian-Democrats Union to Berlin.
