John Baas, USA envoy in Georgia said the agreement which was concluded between ruling party and the opposition parties in connection with the elections environment improvement is a step forward.
"We believe that the agreement which was concluded between government and several opposition parties is a step forward. The USA does not support any separate person or political party, we are supporting Georgia. We support the establishing of the strong democratic institutions in the frames of which the will of the public will be developed, "- Baas said to journalists.
He as well underlined that the USA are for the creating of fair elections environment in Georgia, to provide with the free elections with the guaranties of justice and equality.
"It is less important what do we think, the main is that what wishes the population in Georgia. I hope that in the nearest future the process will be activated and those forces which will not join the signatures, will activate talks with government for finding a ways for common dialogue, "- USA envoy said.
