Parliament amended the Bill on Gatherings and Manifestations. According to the changes gatherings are allowed in 20 meters distance from Procurator's Office, Police, Prisons and Law enforcing bodies; railway stations, airport and sea ports.
As well it is prohibited to hold protest actions at the territory less than in 100 meters distance from the armed units and at its entrances. It is prohibited to hold protest actions at the entrances of buildings; to block the roads and railways.
The changes touch as well administrative buildings. To avoid hindering to the work process at the administrative buildings according to new legislation restrictions may be imposed on protest actions at such buildings and a distance no less than 20 meters should be kept during such demonstrations. The same rule is used in connection with the Court buildings after the NGOs demanded this change.
Restrictions are imposed for the fire arms carrying at the protest action, explosive substances, and inflammable substances, as well such things which can be used at the protest action for damaging of health of other persons. At the same time tear gas and other substances, nerve-paralytic toxic substances or alcoholic substances are prohibited.
If the number of protesters is not sufficient to block a road in such case the protesters are prohibited from blocking of a road.
