As a result of a freight train derailment, a massive fire broke out in the Kharagaul district of Georgia, Georgian media sources reported June 4.
The fire, which resulted from two gasoline tanks exploding, overwhelmed the nearby train station in the village of Marelisi.
No casualties have been reported in the incident, as residents of the surrounding villages were timely evacuated and the firefighters quickly took control of the fire.
At the moment, the movement at the main rail road has been resumed. The reasons of the accident are being investigated, PIK reports.
