The NGOs Defend Georgia and Solidarity for Illegal Prisons are disseminating the information concerning detained members of Georgian Party.
"The fact of detention of Georgian Party members explicitly shows the political biased action of a government, its political persecution and is aimed at the spreading fear among the people. It is not admissible to detain people with groundless accusations and without any proofs. It is very alarming that the detained people are suffering the torture, inhuman and degrading treatment. All this happens in the last days. The international and our internal legislation prohibit such facts without exception. Such actions are punishable under the GCC," - the statement of the organization reads. Eka Beselia and Goga Khaindrava are signing this document.
They inform that at this time over 16 people detained. They are under the physical pressure. They addressed to international organizations and human rights defense organizations, to study all these facts of torture and illegal treatment.
