The Christian-Democrats said the increase of number of MPs will be legitimate if the Constitutional Court will annul referendum results.
"On November 2 of 2003 three questions were discussed: proportional and majority elections and the question of referendum. The Supreme Court decided at that time to abolish the results of the poll concerning proportional elections. But the elections results of the majority electrons and the referendum question were left. It was not cleat why the Court decided so, if the elections were falsified this have to apply to all three questions. Such decision of the Court was inadequate, "- Levan Vepkhvadze said.
Parliamentary vice spokesmen said at that time constitutional changes concerning decrease number of MPs number were enforced with the time limits infringement.
"If we wish to increase the number of Parliamentarians we should get a decision of the Constitutional Court, which will revise the question of legitimacy of 2003 referendum, "-oppositionist MP said.
At the same time Vepkhvadze said that questions passed by the previous Parliament were very questionable previously and this time as well.
"I am sure this question will be very debatable with constitutionalists and lawyers. This is a question of a political liability of the government which was at a power that time, "- Vepkvadze said.
