The idea of status of the state religion for the Orthodoxy is unacceptable for the Georgian Patriarchy, GHN reports.
The declaration of a Georgian Patriarchy stated. ‘The ides of Christian-democrats for granting the status of a state religion for the Orthodox Church is not acceptable for the Georgian Church and the Georgian Patriarchy more than once expressed this negative opinion in this respect, " - the Patriarchy's declaration reads.
