Russia and Georgia should look for the solution form this situation. It is impossible to be enemies forever. This is not natural as for Georgia as well for Russia. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi and Metropolitan bishop of Abkhazia and Pitsunda, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II said in his interview with Russian radio Moscow's Echo, commenting the current situation.
Patriarch underlined that Georgia still respects Russia the culture of this country, history and philosophy.
"I believe that Russia and Russia people remember Georgia. Recently one of the representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church said me: "We do not need Abkhazia." Thanks God that they do not need it. Russians never were restricted to arrive to Abkhazia. This question is very painful for me. People are painful in this matter because during the 200 years Russia could not open its eyes to see the respect and love, which Georgian people have towards Russians, towards its culture and history, however I think that at least we will come closer to each other and will respect each other," - Patrarch said.
He said that the trust is not loosed yet and the solution is to move to each other and we will find each other.
